KETO HAM AND CHEESE SLIDERS

You’ve gotta make these delicious keto ham and cheese sliders ASAP—they’re the perfect party appetizer for your next gathering! They are inspired by this super popular [carb-filled] version on Hip2save.com, but today I am sharing a way you can make them keto-friendly.

We will be making a batch of these easy keto sweet dinner rolls first, then adding deli ham and swiss cheese to make melted sliders. My favorite part is the buttery poppy seed mustard topping that gets baked on top and caramelizes nicely for lots of added flavor.

Small sliders stuffed with ham & cheese, topped with a buttery mustard glaze as a winning appetizer.

For the Sweet Rolls:

  • 1 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 2 oz. cream cheese

  • 2 tablespoons coconut flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 teaspoons monk fruit sweetener
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

KETO HAM AND CHEESE SLIDERS

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9-inch round pan to avoid any sticking and set aside.
  2. In a large microwavable bowl, add in mozzarella and cream cheese. Microwave in 30-second intervals until cheese is completely melted.
  3. Once the cheese is melted, add in the almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, parmesan cheese, sweetener and mix well. Then add in eggs and melted butter and mix well until all is kneaded together.
  4. Roll ten 2-inch sized balls with the dough and place them all in the prepared baking pan with a little bit of space between them so they're not touching.
  5. Brush the top of the rolls with an egg wash and place in the oven to bake for 12-14 minutes, until slightly browned. Remove from the oven and set aside.
  6. In a small bowl, mix up the butter, mustard, aminos, and poppy seeds, and dried minced onion. Set aside.
  7. Slice the tops of all the rolls and set them aside. Place a slice of ham folded on each roll. Cut each slice of cheese in half and fold it in half on top of the ham on each roll. Place all the tops of the rolls back on.
  8. Use a kitchen brush to brush on the mustard-butter mixture all over the top and sides of each roll. Place them back into the oven for 15 minutes until the cheese is nice and melted. Enjoy warm.
